Pastor Jim Simpson grew up attending many different churches. He obtained his Masters in Counseling in 1979 and shortly thereafter moved to Arizona. Pastor Jim began attending Oasis MCC in 1981 shortly before meeting the love of his life, Johnny Saldana, in 1982. They will celebrate their 25th anniversary this July (2007). After attending Samaritan College he was ordained in 1987 founding Healing Waters Ministries, in Tempe Arizona later that same year.

After pastoring Healing Waters for eleven years, the Lord called him to Casa de Cristo Evangelical Church, where he is one of the Associate Pastors today. In this capacity he has participated in mission work in East Africa. Pastor Jim also served on the council of The Evangelical Network (TEN) for six years.

Currently Pastor Jim serves as head of Genesis Counseling Center at Casa. He also oversees the ushers, inreach program, social committee and intercessory prayer team.
