Welcome message from the Council of Elders
Under the leadership of our Co-Pastors, Pastor Adero Allison, Pastor Jim Simpson, and Pastor Charlotte Strayhorne, God continues to lead Casa de Cristo Church and Apostolic Center in Phoenix in the development of new ministries for His Kingdom.
As we move into the bright future that God has promised us, we believe that God is equipping members of our congregation as leaders to present the Ministry of the Gospel at Casa de Cristo, to our LGBTQ community, and beyond. The movement of the Holy Spirit in our midst is fulfilling the Ministry Mission and Vision through us.
Our Ministry Mission is: Building Bridges to Christ our Lord and Savior. And, we believe that by applying the team approach to the ministry and leadership of our church, we will be well equipped to meet our Ministry Vision: to Rescue the Perishing (based on the hymn by Fanny Crosby, 1869):
Rescue the perishing, Care for the dying. Snatch them in pity from sin and the grave; Plead with them earnestly, Plead with them gently; He will forgive if they only believe. Rescue the perishing, Duty demands it; Strength for thy labor the Lord will provide.
By vesting in the varied talents of our Co-Pastors and our Ministry Leaders, Casa de Cristo will be empowered to fine tune the focus of our ministry. Our Ministry Focus is twofold: Evangelistic - bringing souls to Christ; and Apostolic - equipping the saints for the work God has called them to.
Sunday morning worship service at 10:00 a.m. is led by each of our dynamic Co-Pastors. The music ministry is led by Judah, our energetic Praise & Worship team. Following the praise service our children and youth are released to enjoy ministry with our Sunday School teachers and Youth Group leaders.
Our campus at 1029 E. Turney in Phoenix is busy each day as various church groups and organizations from the surrounding community gather for meetings and events. Our outreach programs include: Genesis Counseling Center, Pastor's bible studies, men's, women's, young adult and youth groups, as well as annual festivals. Each day we look for new ways to build bridges to those who are seeking God's path.
As we move forward toward Zion we hope that you will take some time to visit and share in our ministry. Come witness what God is doing with us each day as we grow in our faith and in our ministry to God's people.
Please enjoy our site and come back again!
In Christ's service,
Co-Pastors
